New FTC Regulations Begin December 1st

Posted on November 5, 2009 09:13 PM by Joel Comm

The Internet has grown at an incredible rate.

Online business is big business.

And wherever there is big business there are bound to be scam artists.

Due to the sheer number of people being deceived by unscrupulous marketers (though I hate to even call them marketers), the Federal Trade Commission has seen fit to intervene with a new set of regulations due to go into effect on December 1st, 2009.

If you do ANY kind of businses online, odds are you will be affected by these regulations, and you need to be aware of their impact on your business.

As I began discussing the new FTC regulations with my attorney, Kevin Houchin, it dawned upon me that many of the questions I was asking were questions that thousands of people would want answers to as well.

That's when I asked Kevin if he would be willing to conduct a free webinar to explain these issues to anyone who wanted to become more informed.

Whether you are selling product online or just promoting other peoples' products or services, these answers should be of paramount importance to you!

What was standard practice in product and service marketing may now cost you tens of thousands of dollars in fines from the FTC.

Even 100% TRUTHFUL testimonials and endorsements could result in a Federal case against you for DECEPTIVE advertising.

Do you know what makes the difference?

Have you make the necessary changes to you offers?

Join me and Kevin Houchin, Esq. for a special FREE one-hour webinar designed to help you answer these extremely important questions.

FTC Regulations Webinar

The webinar is scheduled to take placeon Monday, November 9th from 8-9 pm EST. (5-6 pm PST). Seats ARE limited, so you'll want to register right away.

I will be interviewing Kevin for approximately one hour, so go ahead and get signed up. It's time to make sure all your sites and marketing are compliant with these new regulations.

  3. Tom Nichol Says:

The free webinar is a great idea--BUT--what about those of us who can't make it to the webinar? Has any thought been given to making a transcript of the webinar available--perhaps as a free PDF file? That way, the information would benefit a LOT more of us who want to have an Internet business AND stay legal doing so!

    Hi Joel,

Thanks for all that you do keeping us updated on so many great opportunities and so much vital information. This seems to be a very important topic.

Unfortunately, I'm in a similar situation as Tom Nichol. I have a previous commitment tonight and will be unable to make the webinar. Any possibility of releasing an audio or written transcript?

    Thanks Joel.

Hope you have a great interview tonight.

    David Guion
